How to get to the congress venue

By train

From station Berlin-Hauptbahnhof
When arriving at Berlin-Hauptbahnhof please take the bus M41 (direction Sonnenallee/Baumschulenstraße) and disembark at station Ziegrastraße. From there it takes a little walk of 5 min to the Estrel Hotel (total journey time: approx. 45 min).

From Station Berlin-Ostbahnhof
When arriving at Berlin-Ostbahnhof please take the S-Bahn (any line) heading east to station Ostkreuz and switch to the S41 until you reach Sonnenallee. From there it takes a little walk of 5 min to the Estrel Hotel (total journey time: approx. 25 min).

By plane

From Airport Berlin-Schönefeld
When arriving at the airport Berlin-Schönefeld please take the bus 171 (direction U-Hermannplatz) to the station S-Sonnenallee. From there it takes a little walk of 5 min to the Estrel Hotel (total journey time: approx. 50 min).

From Airport Berlin-Tegel
When arriving at the airport Berlin-Tegel please take the express bus X9 (direction S- and U-Zoologischer Garten) until you reach the station S- and U-Jungfernheide. Then change into the circle line S42 and drop off at S-Sonnenallee. From there it takes a little walk of 5 min to the Estrel Hotel (total journey time: approx. 50 min).

By car

Motorway 114 – from Prenzlau

  • Follow B109 Prenzlauer Promenade in direction city centre/Alexanderplatz
  • From there follow direction to Kottbusser Tor until you have reached Sonnenallee 225

Motorway 115 – from Hannover/Leipzig

  • Motorway intersection Funkturm, take A100 towards direction Wilmersdorf
  • After 14 km on the A100 turn right into Grenzallee until you have reached Sonnenallee 225

Motorway 111 – from Hamburg/Rostock

  • A111 (E26) from direction Hamburg/Rostock
  • Motorway intersection Oranienburg, follow A111 in direction of Berlin-Zentrum/Airport Berlin-Tegel
  • Take exit Berlin-Zentrum/Berlin-Reinickendorf and follow the A100 until you reach Grenzallee/Sonnenallee

Public transport – tickets and fares (as per September 2009)

Short-trip ticket (zone AB)

  • 1.30 € (If you are travelling a maximum of 3 urban rail (S-Bahn) or underground (U-Bahn) stations, or 6 bus or tram stops, then you should take advantage of our short-trip fare.)

Single ticket (zone AB)

  • 2.10 € (You may make as many stops or transfers as you like during the two-hour period of validity, but your ticket is not valid for return or round trips.)

  • 2.80 € (You may make as many stops or transfers as you like during the two-hour period of validity, but your ticket is not valid for return or round trips.)

Day ticket (zone AB)

  • 6.10 € (After validating the ticket you can use it until 3:00 am the next day)

  • 26.20 € (The pass is valid from the time of validation on the first day to midnight on the 7th day thereafter. It is valid for the fare zones listed on it and transferable.)

  • 16.50 € (After validating the WelcomeCard, you can use it for 48 hours on all public transport services in zones AB.)
